RS Fireplace / Chimney Fans |
Wind Tunnels often
exist in New York City when a tall building is adjacent to a smaller
building providing the perfect environment for wind tunnels and severe
downdrafts. These wind tunnels and downdrafts are what cause your
fireplace to smoke back, filling your room with smoke in just seconds
without any warning.
Nationwide Chimney & Fireplace has a solution to this problem and its called “Negative Pressure”.
Negative pressure is created by a draft inducer located at the
Apex of your chimney termination point which enables your fireplace to
operate at all times no matter what the wind condition is or the
location of the building.
Negative and positive pressures are
created by temperature conditions. Cold conditions will cause a
downdraft in a chimney where as the cold air will descend down the
chimney creating a positive pressure and resulting in a wind tunnel that will blow air in instead of exhausting it out through the chimney. Negative pressure will
remove the air from your fireplace and exhaust it to the chimney
allowing it to disburse properly into the atmosphere.
We
have an area in our web site that shows the type of draft inducer and
all the available sizes. For additional information or to set up
an appointment with a qualified technician please call our trained
staff at 800-830-9866.
